Nafsika Cottage

This lovely old stone building, formerly an olive pickers “spitaki” (little house) has been recently renovated and modernised to produce an atmospheric studio cottage with accommodation for 2-3 people. The cottage is quietly located in a pretty olive grove setting just above the village of Lakka and sits in its own gardens surrounded by beautiful old dry stone terracing with far-reaching views out into the Ionian Sea and to mainland Greece beyond. There is an open-plan living/sleeping room with a well-equipped kitchenette in one corner, twin beds, table and chairs and an extra divan bed provides for a third occupant if required. The shower room is reached by a short corridor leading from the main room. With the group B hire car which is provided with the cottage, you can be down in the nearby village of Lakka, with a wide choice of shops, cafes, tavernas and bars, in literally three minutes – if you prefer to walk it will be 20 minutes down and 30 back up! The nearest beach is Orkos, on the east of the island which can be accessed via a nearby footpath in around 15 minutes – best to allow a further 10 minutes though for the journey back.
