How to book your holiday

Telephone our UK office on 01373 813022 to discuss your exact requirements and to check the availability of accommodation. Alternatively, email me at nickharvey@planos.co.uk Once you have made a telephone booking then send in the completed and signed booking form together with your deposits of £150 per person. A confirmation invoice will be sent out to you within 14 working days of receipt of the booking form. This will give full details of your holiday reservation together with the cost. It will also advise you when full payment must be made. Please ensure that you check all details carefully. We are normally happy to give options of up to 48 hours to allow you more time to make your decision.

How to pay

We ask that payments be made either by cheque made payable to Paxos Island Holidays Ltd, bank transfer or electronic banking funds to the following account:
Paxos Island Holidays Ltd
NatWest Bank plc
Sort Code: 60-02-05
Account Number: 59299525
PLEASE IDENTIFY ALL ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS WITH YOUR SURNAME.

We regret that we do not have the facility to accept payment by credit or debit card – the enormous cost charged by banks for this facility makes this form of payment totally unfeasible for us. Do call us on 01373 813022 to discuss methods of payment if you wish.

The journey to Paxos

From the UK
We shall be operating Monday morning flights from Gatwick with Monarch Air and from Manchester with Thomas Cook. The Manchester flight supplement will be a minimum of £50 per person. These flights are scheduled to arrive at Corfu between 1230 and 1330.

From Corfu Airport
You will be met by our experienced British staff and will be taken by coach or taxi to the ferry departure point at the New Port in Corfu town. You will be advised of the actual departure time for Paxos on arrival at the port. The journey down to Paxos will take just over one hour and, on arrival, you will be met by more of our staff who will accompany you to your accommodation. Please bear with us as sometimes a wait in Corfu for the next ferry departure will be unavoidable – however we undertake to keep any delay as short as possible.

Return from Paxos
When you leave Paxos, your ferry departure time will correspond as closely as possible with the departure time of your flight back to the UK. On arrival back in Corfu you will be taken by coach to the Airport where our staff will be there to assist with your check-in procedure.

Flights from regional airports
We are able to arrange flights from some regional airports subject to availability and the payment of regional flight supplements. At the time of publishing, in addition to Gatwick and Manchester, we can also offer flight options from: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow and Newcastle. Should you choose one of these options we will check availability and will discuss any timing and cost implications with you before booking.

Duration of holiday/occupation of properties

The price list covers one and two week holidays for the number of occupants stated. If you wish to stay for longer periods, or with a different number of occupants, please discuss this with us.

Large parties

If you are organising a large party or several families please contact us for suggestions as it is possible to combine different villas or apartments together to form single units for large bookings. Please remember that reservations for large parties should be made as early as possible.

Villa rental only

It is sometimes possible for clients travelling from other countries direct to Paxos, or those wishing to drive or make their own travel arrangements, to rent a villa without flights or transfers. Please ask us for prices and availability.

Child/student discounts

There is no upper age limit for qualification for our student discounts. At our discretion, young adults in full-time education will still be eligible. Discounts will be allowed at the rate of 10% for a 1 week holiday and 20% for 2 weeks or more. Where extra beds are used to accommodate additional children (eg a third bed in a twin room) we pay our owners at a lower rate for the extra occupants and can sometimes pass on further discounts – please ask us to quote in such cases and we will be happy to provide our best prices. These discounts are only available for accommodation where indicated in the price guide on the individual property pages. Discounts may not apply if property is under-occupied.

Children under 2 on the date of the return flight will be charged £50 to include the hire of a cot with linen.

Brochure prices

The published price for clients buying a full package holiday includes: Return day flights from Gatwick to Corfu on our contract flight with Monarch Airlines, return transfers from Corfu to Paxos, airport security charges and baggage handling costs, accommodation costs, hire car where stated, electricity, linen and towels, maid service and representative services. All airport taxes and departure taxes are included in our prices and all passengers taking any flight with us will have in-flight meals and a 20kg luggage allowance unless otherwise advised. THIS WILL ALSO APPLY IF WE HAVE TO PURCHASE EXTRA SEATS ON OUR CONTRACT FLIGHT WITH MONARCH.

On arrival at your accommodation

With your tickets and travel documentation you will receive a shopping order form, from which you can select from a standard list of items. Payment for this will be required locally. All village shops will re-open at 1800 and you will find cafes open all day if you would prefer to eat out on arrival.

Villa information

In each of our villas, houses and apartments, you will find a folder giving a great deal of helpful local information about tavernas, shops, buses, beaches, churches, banking hours and other local services.

Hotels and guest houses

Clients travelling on our morning flight from Gatwick may be interested in overnighting somewhere near the airport on the Sunday night prior to departure. For some years now we have used the Waterhall Country House Hotel, telephone: 01293 520002, email: info@waterhallcountryhouse.co.uk website: www.waterhallcountryhouse.co.uk
Clients are advised to contact the hotel direct, mentioning Planos Holidays when booking your room.

Travel documentation

All travel documents i.e. airline tickets, luggage labels, check-in and transfer details will be forwarded to you about 2 weeks prior to departure. It is your responsibility to check all documentation to ensure its accuracy.

Passports and visas

British citizens need a full 10 year passport, valid for the duration of the holiday, but there is no visa requirement. It is recommended that the expiry date of the passport should be no less than 6 months from the intended date of return to the UK. Children under 16 (including infants) who are not currently on their parents' passport will require their own passport. If any member of your party is not a British citizen or does not hold a British passport they must satisfy themselves as to any visa requirements by consulting the Greek Embassy or Consulate.

Airport representation

For 2011 we will be represented as usual by our agents SKYTIME. At Gatwick Dave Hilton and Lynne Easton will be checking in our clients on our Monday morning flight with Monarch Air and at Manchester Sue Aitken will be representing us at check-in for our flight with Thomas Cook Air. Please note however, that they can only be of service to you before you go through passport control to International Departures.

Vaccinations

No vaccinations are required but you should consult your GP if you have any medical questions about your holiday.

Baggage allowances

The allowance per passenger on our charter flight is 20 kilos (approx. 44 pounds) and this will be strictly enforced. There is no allowance for infants under 2 years. Each passenger is allowed one small item of hand luggage weighing up to 5 kilos, which must be small enough to fit under the seat or in the cabin overhead lockers. No dimension of this hand luggage should exceed 115 cms (45 inches). In addition, each passenger will be allowed one normal sized carrier bag for duty-free goods. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT FOR ANY SINGLE ITEM OF LUGGAGE IS NOW 23 KG – ANYTHING HEAVIER THAN THIS CANNOT NOW BE ACCEPTED AT CHECK-IN. THIS HAS NO BEARING ON YOUR PERSONAL LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE WHICH REMAINS AT 20KG PER PERSON. IT IS A HEALTH AND SAFETY LIMIT IMPOSED BY AIRPORT BAGGAGE HANDLERS ON THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF ANY ONE ITEM OF BAGGAGE. IF YOU WISH TO POOL YOUR BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE WITHIN YOUR TRAVELLING PARTY YOU MAY DO SO AS LONG AS NO BAG WEIGHS MORE THAN 23KG.
